The 14th Beijing University Mock Interview Competition recently kicked off at the University of International Business and Economics. Ms Zhang Jin, a lawyer from JAVY Law Firm, was invited to serve as a judge for the competition. She joined a panel comprising legal experts and business leaders from universities across Beijing and beyond to provide professional feedback and career guidance to the participating students, helping young legal professionals enhance their employability.

During the competition, drawing on her practical experience and professional insight, Ms Zhang Jin delivered insightful comments on the students’ performances. Drawing upon her extensive experience in the legal profession, she also posed questions and offered suggestions regarding career planning and legal understanding, aiming to stimulate deeper reflection among outstanding law students on their chosen field and providing systematic guidance to the participants.

Organised by the Communist Youth League Committee of the University of International Business and Economics, the Beijing University Mock Interview Competition has been successfully held for fourteen consecutive years since its inaugural event in 2012. The competition focuses on enhancing students’ employability in entry-level roles. By recreating authentic job-seeking scenarios, it provides students with a realistic interview environment, helping them refine their interview skills and gain valuable job-seeking experience.
