On July 12h, 2023, Liu Guiming, the former chief editor of Chinese Lawyer magazine, Democracy and Legal System magazine, current executive director of Rule of Law Era, was invited paid a visit JAVY, he was received by director Zhao Zenghai, deputy director Cao Chufang, associate Qiao Xiaosi and other Party member lawyers.
Mr. Liu shared his insights on the new directives for lawyers from the Ministry of Justice, which include: 1. Ensure the party’s leadership, 2. Promote patriotism, 3. Serve the people by implementing Rule of Law, 4. Improve professional capacity, 5. Practice honestly and adhere to the law.
The lawyers at the meeting agreed to Mr. Liu’s comment, said they will proactively follow the directives to improve their practice and professional capacity, and contribute to the legal industry.
