On November 3rd 2022, the Beijing Lawyer Association (BLA)’s Ruling the City by Law legal research committee held a work conference, participated online by committee members. JAVY’s director Zhao Zenghai joined the discussion as vice-president of BLA.
The aim of the conference was to decide the research direction, to draft work plans and to implement specific tasks, all pursuant to the 20th National Congress’s directions.
Mr. Zhao Zenghai emphasized that the committee must adjust its tasks pursuant to the directions of the 20th NPC, carefully lay out plans, get concrete results, and fully support the Beijing government’s administrative functional departments.
“Ruling the City by Law” involves various aspects such as political, economic and legal parts, and requires complex work, the committee’s goal is to improve the government’s ability to administrate, to provide guidelines for the legal service industry, to participate in legislation, to collect problem feedbacks, and to actively boost the public’s knowledge about laws.
Mr. Zhao concluded the conference with warm remarks, saying the BLA acknowledges and supports the committee’s hard work.
