The AAA rating is the highest level in this rating system, signifying the highest standard of corporate creditworthiness. China Credit Rating Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned second-tier core subsidiary of the China Credit Group. Its predecessor, China Credit Securities Evaluation Co., Ltd., was established in October 1992 as a nationwide joint-stock non-bank financial institution engaged in credit rating, financial bond consultancy and information services, approved by the People’s Bank of China. In 2002, the China Insurance Regulatory Commission (CIRC) issued the ‘Interim Measures for the Management of Insurance Companies’ Investment in Corporate Bonds’, and China Chengxin International Credit Rating Co., Ltd. became a credit rating agency recognised by the CIRC. In 2019, the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS) granted China Chengxin Certification (Beijing) Co., Ltd. a certification body approval certificate.
