As the warm spring breeze of March blows, the spirit of Lei Feng lives on. To mark the 63rd ‘3·5’ Lei Feng Memorial Day, and in order to carry forward the spirit of Lei Feng and uphold the founding principles of the rule of law, the Party Branch of JAVY’s Dezhou Branch actively responded to the call of the Dezhou Volunteer Service Federation by organising Party member lawyers to visit Century Square to carry out a volunteer service activity themed ‘Emulating the Spirit of Lei Feng, Showcasing the Spirit of Volunteering’.
At the event, the law firm’s Party branch set up a legal consultation desk in a designated area to provide free legal advice to members of the public. Addressing common legal concerns such as marriage and family matters, labour disputes and neighbourhood conflicts, the lawyers patiently answered questions and educated the public on anti-fraud legislation. Using plain language, they explained the common tactics of telecommunications and online fraud, as well as key points for prevention and response, reminding citizens to remain vigilant and safeguard their financial security.
This volunteer service initiative not only enabled the general public to benefit from professional legal services but also embodied the spirit of Lei Feng and the sense of responsibility expected of legal professionals in the new era through concrete action. In the future, the JAVY Dezhou Branch will continue to promote the spirit of Lei Feng and advance a series of public interest legal awareness campaigns, bringing the warmth of the rule of law to the public and contributing further to the advancement of the rule of law in Dezhou and the safeguarding of social fairness and justice.
