On 18th June 2025, JAVY law firm successfully held the ‘Establishment of JAVY law firm's Commercial Law Committee and Case Sharing Meeting (Phase I)’. This exchange and sharing meeting was jointly hosted by JAVY law firm's Commercial Law Committee and the third branch of JAVY Party Branch.

At the beginning of the event, Mr Wei Wei, partner and member of the Committee, delivered a speech for the sharing session. Mr Wei emphasised the original intention and purpose of the committee, expressing that the committee aims to build a platform for lawyers to communicate and learn, and that the activity is a medium to bring lawyers together to get to know each other, to understand each other, and to learn from each other's strengths and complement each other's weaknesses. As for the form of activities, will fully respect the ideas of everyone, so that the activities really effective, not superficial.
Mr Wei also encouraged the lawyers to actively demonstrate their professional work in the activities, strengthen communication and collaboration, give full play to the role of the ad hoc committee, and jointly enhance their professional capabilities to provide clients with better quality and more professional legal services.
Subsequently, after the participants were introduced to each other, Zhang Qi, partner and vice-chairman of the Commercial Law Committee, made a brilliant sharing on the theme of ‘How to win the three “must lose” cases?’ After the meeting, Zhang Qi, partner and vice-chairman of the Commercial Law Committee, gave a wonderful sharing on the topic of ‘How to win three “sure-to-lose” cases?’, in which he deeply analysed three complicated cases which seemed to have no hope of winning but were eventually successfully reversed.
Through practical sharing, Ms Zhang emphasised the initiative and foresight of lawyers in case handling. She believes that lawyers should not just passively receive the evidence provided by their clients, but should take the initiative, dig deep into every detail behind the case, and look for breakthroughs from multiple angles. At the same time, the lawyers were reminded to have a keen sense of anticipation so as to take the lead in the trial.
In addition, based on his own experience, Mr Zhang encourages lawyers to learn and master certain financial knowledge so that they can handle complex commercial cases with ease.
During the interactive session, the lawyers had an in-depth discussion on a number of hot issues, including how to deal with differences in the interpretation of certain legal provisions, how to win the approval of adjudicators, how to efficiently search for relevant jurisprudence, and how to build a complete closed loop of evidence. These issues triggered lively exchanges, and the atmosphere at the scene was vibrant, with everyone actively sharing their experiences and exploring solutions.
