On March 19, 2024, the 18th session of the "Guike Bimonthly Talk" was successfully held at JAVY. Over forty directors and lawyers participated in the event to discuss the important topic of "The Path and Vision of High-Quality and Large-Scale Development of Law Firms in the Context of Chinese Modernization." Liu Guiming, Executive Director of the Editorial Committee of "Rule of Law Times" by the China Democratic Legal System Publishing House, President of the Beijing Elderly Legal Research Association, and Dean of Guike Academy, provided valuable insights and guidance during the seminar.

Director Zhao Zenghai Esq., Executive Director Ge Youshan Esq., Deputy Director Cao Chunfang Esq., and Senior Partner Xu Fadong Esq. from JAVY attended the event. Mr. Liu warmly welcomed the lawyers. Mr. Zhao emphasized that Chinese modernization is a path tailored to China's national conditions, explored by the Party and the people through long-term practice. During the critical period of striving for the "Two Centenary Goals," General Secretary Xi proposed developing new productive forces to meet the people's aspirations for a better life. This has guiding significance for the legal industry to address the current complex market environment and contemplate future development paths. Mr. Zhao elaborated on the essential qualities high-quality law firms should possess, including brand image shaping, improving law firm management levels, and cultivating lawyers' professional qualities. He further pointed out that merger and reorganization are the optimal paths for achieving high-quality and large-scale development, emphasizing the comprehensive integration of various resources to complement and expand talent, clients, and brand influence, thereby enhancing the firm's market impact and operational efficiency.

The seminar also featured various directors and senior partners from different law firms sharing their insights on topics such as the foundational principles of integrated law firms, the logic and vision behind high-quality development of local law firms, differentiation and indispensability in law firm development, cultural aspects and young lawyer cultivation in large-scale law firms, challenges and strategies for high-quality development of small and medium-sized law firms, and the role of culture and mechanisms in the scale development of local law firms.

Overall, the seminar provided a platform for in-depth discussions and valuable exchanges, enhancing understanding and contributing to the development of high-quality and large-scale law firms in China's modernization context.
