JAVY Law Firm held its 1st partners meeting for the year 2023 at the JW Marriot Hotel on March 29th, more than 30 partners from our offices in Beijing, Nanjing, Fuzhou, Dezhou, Zaozhuang attended the meeting, to summarize the past and plan the future. The meeting was presided by JAVY’s director Zhao Zenghai.
JAVY’s Annual Report 2022
Mr. Zhao’s opening statement summarized JAVY’s achievements in 2022, including Party building, talent recruitment, social responsibilities, capacity growth, brand development, etc.
Mr. Zhao mentioned JAVY has established 4 Party branches since Aug 2022, and hosted various events to study the directions of the 20th NPC.
Despite the impact of COVID during the last 3 years, JAVY has maintained rapid growth. The firm currently has more than 200 licensed lawyers, ranked no. 1 among the fastest expanding law firms in China with a growth rate of 209.2%. We have also established various branch offices in China and continue to grow our service network throughout the country.
During last year, JAVY has dedicated huge efforts into social welfare, our lawyers participated in numerous public events to combat COVID in Beijing, and provided duty service for legal-aid call centers in Shunyi, Huairou, Chaoyang and Changping. We also provided legal consultation service for ex-prisoners in collaboration with Chaoyang halfway house. JAVY’s lawyers were enlisted in public welfare legal aid teams to help young students on innovation and entrepreneurship. The law firm was awarded “excellent legal aid hotline operator” by Beijing Legal Aid Center.
JAVY has also expanded our capacity in providing quality service for our clients, we have established 11 research committees including financial law, criminal law, civil law, business law, international law and IP law, and also 3 special associations including young lawyer association, female lawyer association and elderly lawyer association, the committees have held more than a dozen seminars. Multiple JAVY’s lawyers were elected to important positions in the national, Beijing and Chaoyang bar associations.
As for brand development, JAVY has published 642 articles on our Wechat public account, 721 short videos on various platforms, as well as 50 online streams, gaining more than 12 million views. JAVY has been awarded “2021 ALB China Fastest Growing Firms” by Thomson Reuters’ ALB magazine, Euromoney’s “Women in Business Law Awards 2022 APAC”, and Legal Vision’s “Excellent Brand Influence Law Firms of 2022”.
Mr. Zhao concluded that JAVY will enter a brand new phase and achieve greater goals in 2023, he also declared that the Beijing headquarters has expanded its office to 6000 square meters in total, to provide even better working environment for our lawyers.
JAVY’s Work Plans for 2023
JAVY’s executive director Ge Youshan revealed the firm’s 2023 work plans, and mentioned this year will mark a vital milestone in our development, people of JAVY should take the chance and achieve more success. In the 23 detailed work plans of 2023, Mr. Ge hope the law firm will gain more breakthroughs in terms of recruitment, branch offices, revenue, brand and social influence.
The Partners’ Discussions
The partners then joined the discussion on JAVY’s annual report and work plans. All partners shared their insights, and offered suggestions on the law firm’s development. They agreed to work together on our brand new journey to achieve greater goals.
