On October 19, the first annual meeting of the Animal Rule of Law Forum and the inaugural meeting of the Institute of Animal Protection and Rule of Law of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law were held in Wuhan. With the theme of “Chinese-style animal jurisprudence theory and practice”, the conference gathered more than 130 experts and scholars from all over the country to discuss the new ideas and practices of animal rule of law construction.
Ms. Sun Ying, senior partner of JAVY Law Firm, and Mr. Wang Wenyong, senior partner of JAVY Law Firm, were appointed as special experts of Animal Rule of Law Institute.
The inauguration ceremony of the establishment of the Institute and the appointment of researchers was hosted by Xu Kai, Secretary General of the Institute of Animal Protection and Rule of Law of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, Prof. Qian Yefang and Prof. Xu Weigong jointly inaugurated the Institute, and Sun Ying and Wang Wenyong were appointed as special researchers, injecting a strong academic force into the development of the Institute.
At the conference, Mr. Wang Wenyong made a keynote speech on “Local Legislation on Confiscation of Dogs Lacks the Basis of Superior Law”.
The appointment is not only the affirmation of Jia's personal ability, but also the recognition of Jiawei's efforts in the field of animal protection and rule of law.
