On August 11th, the Beijing Association for the Promotion of Social Work and Volunteer Service held its third general meeting of members. At the meeting, after voting and election, Lawyer Ge Youshan, Executive Director of Jiawei Law Firm, was elected as the new board member.

The Beijing Association for the Promotion of Social Work and Volunteer Service is a non-profit social organization approved and registered by the Beijing Municipal Social Organization Registration and Management Authority. The association accepts supervision from the leadership of the Beijing Civil Affairs Bureau, the registration management authority, with the fundamental purpose of promoting the coordinated development of social work and volunteer services. Its work focuses on raising public awareness, promoting the construction of collaborative mechanisms, improving the social service system, organizing community volunteer services, and promoting the construction of community harmony.
