On December 16, 2023, the inaugural "Rule of Law Era" Innovation Forum and the "2023 Rule of Law Innovation Cases/Figures/Papers/Products" release event took place in Beijing. Cao Chunfang, Deputy Director of Beijing JAVY Law Firm, was honored with the title of "2023 Smart Legal Innovation Figure."

The forum was co-hosted by China Democracy and Legal System Publishing House Co., Ltd. and the Institute of Law, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. Since its launch on June 18, the forum received over 1,000 submissions, with 750 passing the initial review. The jury, consisting of legal scholars, industry experts, and media representatives, selected 302 entries as the 2023 legal innovation cases, figures, papers, and products.
