On 25 April, the knockout stage of the 14th Beijing University Mock Interview Competition was successfully held at the University of International Business and Economics. Mr Liu Yilin, a lawyer from JAVY Law Firm, was invited to serve as a judge for the competition’s knockout stage. Together with legal experts and business leaders from numerous universities in and outside Beijing, he formed the judging panel to provide on-site assessment and professional guidance to the participating students. Following Attorney Zhang Jin’s recent role as a judge in the preliminary round of the 14th competition, Attorney Liu Yilin’s invitation to serve as a judge in this knockout stage further highlights JIA LAWYER’s significant contribution to the judging process of this event.

During the elimination round, Mr Liu Yilin provided professional feedback on the finalists’ performances, drawing upon his extensive first-hand experience in commercial legal services and dispute resolution. Drawing on his rich experience in the legal profession, he offered targeted advice on career planning and the development of professional skills. These practical observations and recommendations provided the students present with a perspective on careers that differed from that gained in the classroom.
Organised by the Communist Youth League Committee of the University of International Business and Economics, the Beijing University Mock Interview Competition has been successfully held for fourteen consecutive years since its inaugural edition in 2012. The competition focuses on enhancing students’ employability by providing a realistic interview environment that closely replicates actual job-seeking scenarios, thereby helping students gain practical experience and hone their interview skills.
