To effectively advance legal education among young people and prevent and reduce incidents of school violence, the Women's Federation of Beishichao Town recently actively engaged with the Beijing Women's Federation's special initiative ‘Women's Rights Protection: Delivering Legal Services to Homes’. Under the guidance and support of the District Women's Federation, it collaborated with the Town's Livelihood Security Office (Education, Science, Culture and Sports Division) to launch the ‘Delivering Legal Services to Schools’ campaign. Attorney Wei Wei, a member of the Beijing Lawyers Association's ‘Women's Rights Protection: Delivering Legal Knowledge to Homes’ legal education team and partner at JAVY Law Firm, was invited to deliver professional legal services directly to the children. This initiative aims to establish a robust legal ‘safety net’ for the healthy development of minors.

As a vivid grassroots implementation of Beijing's ‘Women's Legal Outreach to Villages and Communities’ initiative, this event leveraged a coordinated mechanism—‘Municipal Women's Federation resource coordination—District Women's Federation implementation—Town Women's Federation targeted delivery’—to channel high-quality municipal legal resources directly into Beishichao Town's schools, achieving precise delivery of legal education services to the ‘last mile’.
Centred on the theme ‘Understanding School Bullying Correctly’, lawyer Wei Wei systematically unpacked four key dimensions in accessible language: clarifying concepts to define the boundary between bullying and playful banter; identifying forms to comprehensively analyse physical, verbal, social and cyberbullying; warning of consequences by analysing the profound harm bullying inflicts on both parties from legal and psychological perspectives; and mastering responses, guiding students in effective self-protection while offering practical intervention advice for parents and teachers.
This event served not only as a legal education session but also as a protective measure for children's development. Through vivid case studies and practical guidance, the seeds of legal awareness have been quietly sown in the pupils' hearts. The activity further built a communication bridge between home and school, laying a solid foundation for jointly preventing school bullying and safeguarding minors' healthy growth.
