On August 9, 2025, the 10th “Chaoyang Lawyer Cup” Badminton Tournament, hosted by the Chaoyang District Lawyers Association of Beijing, came to a successful conclusion. Nearly 500 lawyers from 16 teams participated in the tournament, which lasted the entire day. Individual matches were held in the morning, and team matches in the afternoon, with intense competition throughout.

The Jiawei Badminton Team actively participated in the event, forming two joint teams—the Jia Lawyers Joint Team and the Jia Lawyers Team 2—with a total of 30 participants. Ultimately, the Jia Lawyers secured multiple individual honors, and the Jia Lawyers Joint Team claimed the third place in the team competition, fully demonstrating the Jia Lawyers' spirit of perseverance and team cohesion.

This marks the third time that the Jiawei Badminton Team has participated in this event. During the competition, the participating players demonstrated exceptional teamwork and a tenacious spirit, achieving outstanding results. In the singles competition, Attorney Zhao Qiang won the bronze medal in the men's doubles category, while Attorneys Tian Qiuying and Wei Wei secured the bronze medal in the women's doubles category. In the team competition, the Jiawei Legal Team delivered an outstanding performance, emerging from among 16 strong teams to ultimately claim the bronze medal in the team category. This achievement marked a historic breakthrough, earning the team the title of “dark horse” of the event.

This outstanding achievement would not have been possible without the enthusiastic participation, relentless effort, and comprehensive support from the law firm. Key members such as Ning Qian and Zhao Qiang actively coordinated with multiple lawyers from Chaoyang and Jia Law Firms to form a high-level team. The leadership of Jia Law Firm and the Brand and Cultural Development Committee placed great importance on this competition. Chairman Wei Wei and Vice Chairman Tian Qiuying served as team captains for both teams. Prior to the competition, they organized specialized training sessions for the participants, customized team uniforms and souvenirs for the competitors, and provided support from multiple angles to ensure the success of the event.

In the future, Jiawei Law Firm will continue to actively participate in industry sports events and organize more cultural and sports activities to enhance the diversity and enjoyment of lawyers' lives, as well as strengthen the vitality and cohesion among lawyers.

About the Jiawei Sports Club In July 2023, under the leadership of the Jiawei Brand and Cultural Development Committee (hereinafter referred to as the “Brand and Cultural Committee”), the first Jiawei Sports Club was established. In August 2023, the first badminton team was formed.

The Jiawei Badminton Team brings together executive directors, partners, practicing lawyers, and interns from Jiawei Law Firm. The team includes both seasoned athletes over fifty and young talents in their twenties. They come together through a shared passion for the sport, fostering communication, strengthening friendships, and fully embodying a positive and upward-looking spirit.

The Jiawei Sports Club aims to highlight the spirit of unity, friendship, and positivity among Jiawei lawyers. In addition to badminton, the club offers various interest groups such as running, frisbee, archery, boxing, tennis, hiking, board games, table tennis, basketball, soccer, volleyball, and skiing. It will continue to organize diverse sports activities in the future. We warmly welcome all like-minded individuals to join the Sports Club and the Brand Culture Committee, working together to build Jiawei Law Firm into a vibrant and dynamic law firm. We also welcome lawyers from other firms to join us, sharing fulfilling and enjoyable experiences together.
