On July 25, 2025, a seminar themed “Focusing on Core Competitiveness in Commercial Disputes and Exploring the Path of Market-oriented Development of Arbitration” was successfully held in the academic lecture hall of JAVY Law Firm. Su Yifan, Deputy Director of the Arbitration Service Center for Private Enterprises of the Hainan International Arbitration Court, served as the keynote speaker. Ge Youshan, Zhang Li, Wang Xiaoou, Yang Jingrui, Wang Yaozhe, Wu Kunqian, Yang Siping, Yang Guofeng, Wang Yi, Zhao Caizhu, Zhou Ke, and Wu Yongfeng from the Fuzhou branch office participated as discussants. Together, they engaged in an in-depth discussion on the current status and trends of China's arbitration market development, the advantages and disadvantages of commercial arbitration marketization, and the capacity building of arbitration professionals.
At the beginning of the event, Mr. Ge Youshan, Director of the Supervisory Committee of Jia Law Firm, introduced to the guests the development history of Jia Law Firm as a “National Excellent Law Firm” and its professional accumulation in the field of commercial arbitration. During the open discussion session, participants actively shared their views and engaged in lively discussions on practical issues such as the promotion of arbitration services, the development of the arbitrator team, and the application of cross-border arbitration rules. They addressed key challenges in practice and provided insightful responses, offering numerous constructive suggestions.
The event was hosted by Zhang Li, senior partner at Jia Law Firm and arbitrator at the Hainan International Arbitration Court. He concluded that the seminar combined cutting-edge theoretical insights with practical considerations, aligning with Jia Law Firm's strategic goal of establishing a “Jia Lawyer Global Service Network.” It holds significant value for commercial lawyers in expanding dispute resolution pathways and enhancing their professional capabilities in handling high-end, complex cases.
