On July 9, a group of 7 students from Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (BUAA) visited JIA LAWYER and started an in-depth communication journey about legal technology and youth development. At the beginning of the activity, Fan Jingjing led the Beihang students to visit JAVY law firm's intelligent office hall, remote sharing conference room, party building activity room and open lawyer's work area. The combination of modern office facilities and humanized design concepts not only reflects the empowerment of science and technology on legal services, but also shows the importance of teamwork and staff growth. At the exchange meeting, Ms. Tian Qiuying firstly expressed a warm welcome to the students from Beihang on behalf of JAVY law firm, and briefly introduced the practice exploration of the firm in digital transformation. She pointed out that JAVY law firm is actively promoting the deployment of localized AI models to enhance the efficiency of legal services through technology empowerment.
Beihang students discussed the technical outlook, data security, algorithmic bias and other issues in the application of AI technology from an academic perspective. The lawyers said that technological innovation must be based on the premise of controllable risk, and lawyers should embrace technology, but when using technological tools, they should always maintain the independence of value judgment, and avoid the potential impact of the misuse of technology on judicial justice.
Around the discussion of “AI impact on lawyers”, lawyers said that the core competitiveness of the legal industry is always the comprehensive service ability, technology is only an auxiliary means, not a substitute. The lawyers suggested that young law students should consolidate the foundation of law, and at the same time take the initiative to learn the cross-border knowledge of technology ethics, data compliance, science and technology, in order to adapt to the industry's urgent demand for “law + technology” composite talents.
