Social organizations are crucial for developing public affairs and public welfare at the grassroots level. However, due to the lack of systematic guidance and legal protection, their participation faces many challenges.
On November 5, 2023, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Social Sciences Academic Press released the "Blue Book of Social Organizations: China Social Organization Report (2023)." It showed a decrease in social organizations in China for the first time, with 891,300 organizations by the end of 2022.
