On the afternoon of November 9, a seminar about notary practice on wills & inheritance was successfully held at JAVY Law Firm. The event featured guest speakers Zhang Zhipeng, a notary at the Beijing Jingcheng Notary Office, and Shi Yufan, a notary at the International Will Center of Beijing Jingcheng Notary Office. The event was also simultaneously broadcast online through our law firm's video platform.

Mr. Zhang addressed the theme of "Inheritance Right Notary Practice" during the event, providing insights for lawyers. He gave a brief overview of notarization, including the notary system, effectiveness, and value of notarization, and the notary industry.

He mentioned common inheritance scenarios, such as general situations, transfer of inheritance, substitutionary inheritance, statutory inheritance, and testamentary inheritance. Combining relevant legal provisions with personal work experience, he shared practical experiences related to inheritance business.

Mr. Zhang elaborated on the process, document preparation, and required evidence for inheritance notarization. For inheritance issues involving foreign factors, he provided explanations on foreign factors, processing challenges, and points to be mindful of.

Mr. Shi presented on the topic "Introduction and Detailed Explanation of Notarial Legal Services Involving Testamentary Documents," guiding lawyers through the process of establishing a will.

She briefly introduced the form and effectiveness of wills, emphasizing the advantages of notarized wills, such as strong evidentiary force, systematic records in the notary industry, professionalism, and foresight.

During the interactive exchange session, lawyers asked questions related to practical issues, and both notaries patiently and meticulously answered, creating a lively atmosphere. The event was deemed practical and instructive, with lawyers expressing that they gained valuable insights.
