On October 24th, 2023, JAVY Law Firm held another seminar on duty crime prevention, with our senior partner An Hongpeng Esq. as the lecturer, joined by special guest Ma Li Esq. from Jinsh Law Firm, as well as more than a dozen lawyers.
In the lecture, Mr. An talked about his new book titled “Lessons from Fallen Leaders: Analysis on Typical Corruption Cases”, addressing the corporate corruption issue. The book mainly focused on the cases of disgraced leaders exposed in anti-corruption operations, about their crime investigations and trials, as well as how their illegal dealings got exposed. By writing this book, Mr. An hopes to warn business leaders and public officials of the legal risks they are facing, thus maintain their self-discipline and integrity.
Mr. An also introduced to the listeners his legal service product “compliance consolation for officials’ integrity”, the product aims to provide one-stop solutions to corporate compliance for state-owned enterprises, to help the public officials to conduct self-exam on their potential illegal activities and discipline violations, to reduce the risk of corruption, as well as aid the works of Commission for Discipline Inspection.
Mr. Ma also shared his insights in dealing with duty crime cases, both lawyers answered questions form the participants after the lecture, the seminar was well received by the audience.
