On the afternoon of October 27th, the "Seminar on Typical Cases of Lawyer Practice Risks" was successfully held at Building E2 of JAVY Law Firm. The seminar was presented by Senior Partner Xu Fadong from JAVY Law Firm, with around thirty lawyers attending the event.

Ancient wisdom states, "A gentleman does not stand under a tottering wall." However, the nature of the legal industry dictates that lawyers must navigate through various conflicts and disputes. In recent years, some lawyers, in their blind pursuit of case outcomes, have overlooked the legitimacy and legality of processes, often leading to unintended consequences or even criminal charges, which has sparked strong reactions within the industry. Statistics show that dozens of lawyers nationwide are sentenced to prison each year for alleged crimes, and hundreds of lawyers have their licenses revoked.

Xu Fadong presented seven real-life typical cases, including "Punished with one-year suspension of practice for illegally publishing case information on the internet," "Compensation demanded for unfulfilled case results," "Imprisoned for bribery," "Imprisoned for false litigation," "Imprisoned for involvement in organized crime," "Imprisoned for intentional injury," and "Imprisoned for subverting state power." Drawing from his extensive practice experience, Xu vividly explained the key risks in legal practice and provided clear requirements and methodological suggestions on how to mitigate these risks.

Mr. Xu emphasized the importance for lawyers to strictly abide by the law, regulate their practice behaviors, never cross the legal bottom line, and adhere to professional norms. He also stressed the need to enhance awareness of practice risk prevention, be proactive in risk management, and be vigilant against negligence or reckless behavior that may lead to legal violations or criminal offenses during practice. Lastly, he highlighted the continuous cultivation of professional ethics, the deepening of political and ideological awareness, and the improvement of understanding towards professional ethics and practice discipline.

The seminar provided insightful and practical guidance for lawyers on regulating their future practices and mitigating risks, earning positive feedback from attendees who found the session highly beneficial.
