On August 20, 2023, the JAVY Badminton Team made its debut at the 8th "Chaoyang Lawyer Cup" badminton competition organized by the Chaoyang District Lawyers Association. Held at Yiyou Sports Center near Beitou Aoyuan, this was JAVY's first participation in a sports event hosted by the association. The team showcased their determination and competitive spirit.
Competition Overview:
The event included individual and team competitions. In the morning, individual matches took place, with JAVY team members Zhao Qiang, Tian Qiuying, Wei Wei, Li Aijun, Du Zhengyu, Ma Jinfu, Ning Qian, Si Yajuan, and Zhang Yino competing. Ning Qian won the men's singles championship in the entertainment group, while Tian Qiuying and Wei Wei secured third place in the women's doubles.
In the afternoon, a full 16-member JAVY team, including Ge Youshan, Xue Jing, Zhao Qiang, Tian Qiuying, Wei Wei, Li Aijun, Ma Jinfu, Du Zhengyu, Ning Qian, Si Yajuan, Zhang Yino, Li Baiyan, Guo Peiyuan, Li Yanyan, Huang Manman, and Wei Wenyu, participated in the team event. The team competed in seven categories: men’s doubles, women’s doubles, mixed doubles, 100+ age group men’s doubles, 100+ age group women’s doubles, women’s singles, and men’s singles. Despite fierce competition among the 14 registered teams, JAVY's team demonstrated their unique spirit, though they did not advance past the group stage.
About JAVY Badminton Team:
The team was established in July 2023 by the JAVY Brand and Culture Committee, coinciding with the 2023 Chaoyang Lawyer Cup. The team, composed of partners, practicing lawyers, and interns, included both seasoned athletes over 50 and young members in their twenties, united by their love for badminton. This initiative fostered camaraderie and showcased a positive, energetic spirit.
JAVY Law Firm supported the team by providing custom-designed uniforms and training facilities. Hui Linjuan, head of JAVY's Brand Marketing Department, sponsored badminton equipment and led the brand team in capturing the event on video. Deputy Director of the Brand and Culture Committee, Li Baiyan, managed team logistics, ensuring smooth preparations.
The team conducted three collective training sessions and individual practice sessions, reflecting their enthusiasm and dedication.
JAVY Sports Club:
The club aims to unite JAVY members and highlight their team spirit and positivity. In addition to badminton, it includes groups for running, frisbee, archery, boxing, tennis, hiking, board games, table tennis, basketball, soccer, volleyball, and skiing. The club plans to continue organizing various sports activities, inviting JAVY members and other lawyers to join and contribute to a dynamic and engaging community at JAVY Law Firm.
