Hello everyone, it is my great pleasure to join JAVY Law Firm. Let me first introduce my work experience. After graduating from university and postgraduate, I have worked in the courts of Shandong and Beijing for more than ten years. It should be said that I have accumulated rich experience in trial practice. Later, due to an opportunity, I chose to resign to become a lawyer in the sea. Years of experience as a judge and experience as a lawyer in recent years have given me the opportunity to observe and experience our country's litigation system at close range. This also makes me have a lot of thoughts and opinions on the litigation system and dispute resolution methods in our country, and also have my own experience on the existing dispute resolution mechanism. Therefore, after becoming a lawyer, I actively participated in social mediation organizations and served as a mediator, and also served as an arbitrator in an arbitration institution, participating in the resolution of some civil and commercial disputes.

Q2What made you choose to join JAVY Law Firm? After this period of time together, what is your impression of JAVY Law Firm?

After being introduced by someone, I got to know the management staff of our firm, and after negotiating with them many times, I recognized their office philosophy and the rules and regulations of the law firm, so I joined the firm. After getting along for a period of time, JAVY's beautiful office environment, convenient transportation, excellent management system, sincere cooperation and aggressive spirit of the management team have left a good impression on me. I will integrate into the JAVY family as soon as possible, grow together with the law firm and all lawyers, and strive to create good work performance in JAVY.

Q3 What areas of legal services have you mainly focused on since your practice? What do you think is the difficulty in handling cases in this field? How did you think about it at the time? What impressed you most?

Lawyer An Yanzeng：

I used to work in the criminal trial position of the court for many years and have rich experience in trial practice, so I have handled many criminal defense cases since I started practicing. In the past few years, I have achieved effective defense effects such as acquittal of criminal cases, dismissal of many cases, no prosecution, and no arrest. Now, with the implementation of the system of admitting guilt and accepting punishment and the full coverage of legal aid in the field of criminal litigation in my country, the number of entrusted criminal defense cases is shrinking. Therefore, after accepting the entrusted defense of a criminal case, our lawyers must intervene in the case as soon as possible, which is difficult and complicated. I devoted more energy to study and research on the court trial skills and effective cross-examination of the case, striving to provide real and effective substantive defense to the client, and live up to the trust of others.

In addition, in recent years of practice, I have also dealt with many difficult and complex criminal-civilian cross-dispute cases, and gained some case-handling methods and experience. In the future, I will continue to make further efforts towards refinement and professionalism in criminal defense and representation, and resolution of major civil and criminal disputes, and strive for greater progress.

Q4In your opinion, what kind of lawyer is considered a good lawyer? Do you have any seniors you admire?

Many seniors and pioneers of noble character in the legal profession are my role models. In terms of years of practice, I can only be regarded as a "primary student" in the legal profession, and there is still a certain gap between me and excellent lawyers. I personally believe that good professional ethics, superb legal skills and a comprehensive, all-round and multi-angle approach to dealing with problems are the basic requirements of an excellent litigator.

Q5What are your hobbies outside of work? Are they affected by occupation? Are these hobbies helpful to your career?

Lawyer An Yanzeng：

In my spare time, I prefer to study historical knowledge. Reading history can be wise and meditative, which will have a certain influence and help on my thinking about complex legal issues. In addition, I also actively take various ways to exercise. After all, being a lawyer is a highly physically and mentally demanding job. A healthy body is the basic guarantee for a lawyer’s practice. Without sufficient energy and a healthy body, everything will be empty talk.
